Meet Erica
Hi, I’m Erica Emanuel. Goshen is in my DNA. I was born and raised here. I attended Goshen High School only to travel a few miles down the road to study at Goshen College. While attending Goshen College I was inspired by a professor to pursue accounting. I graduated from Goshen College with a B.S. in Accounting and minors in business and Spanish.
Today I am a CPA and the controller at Viewrail, a rapidly growing company located in Goshen’s business park. With 12 years experience in finance and accounting I have a strong grasp of the intricacies of many things including budgeting, capital expenditures, asset management… many of the issues that the Goshen City Council grapples at every meeting.
Outside of work, I volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen as the women’s basketball coach. I graduated from the Goshen Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy. I enjoy hiking, camping, and kayaking. I am a dog mom to Lola, an English Bulldog and Cora, a German Shepard.
I believe the government is responsible for maintaining the rules of society, safety for the community, the economy and public service. I have three priorities; preventing financial waste (safety, public service, and the economy), responsive government (public service) and protecting the liberties of the residents (safety and public service).
